Web Developer

Do you want to build the systems and contribute to the strategies that will help Xobni's marketing team engineer user acquisition? Do you want to learn the techniques and the strategies that take great products and turn them into successful businesses with millions of users? Do you have an analytical mind and a penchant for data visualization? If so, you may be right for the role of web developer at Xobni.

Responsibilities

• Developing and extending Xobni's web properties
• Contributing to Xobni's positioning, branding, and marketing strategy
• Acting as an overall technical generalist - able to work with multiple technologies and teams
• Building analytical and data visualization dashboards

Skills and Experience that will make you successful in this role

• Minimum 3 years of experience in web development
• PHP + mySQL experience a must, python experience a plus
• Analytical and mathematically minded
• Interest in web marketing, SEM, and viral marketing
• Interested in data visualization
• Adobe Flex experience a plus
• BS in Computer Science or related background is preferred

Senior Windows Software Engineer

Would you like to join a startup with a great team that creates exciting communications software? Xobni is looking for a Senior Windows Software Engineer to help us build and improve our products.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of large parts of Xobni's core code
• Write code that is both functional and elegant
• Diagnose performance and functional problems
• Participate in design discussions, perform analyses, and plan software and feature improvements

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field
• 5+ years experience in designing / developing Windows desktop application
• Proficiency in C# and C++
• Significant experience with Windows technologies (Win32, COM, etc.). Experience with developing for Outlook (OOM, VSTO, COM Addins, etc.) is a plus.

Software Engineers

Do you thrive as part of a talented and highly agile engineering team? We're looking for software engineers to help envision, design, and build the core Xobni applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in software design discussions
• Develop ideas from a high-level description to a shippable product
• Perform analyses, software design, code, troubleshooting, and unit testing
• Write code that is both functional and elegant
• Set individual goals and take responsibility for executing
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of software development experience
• Experience with N-tier application development
• Successful multi-tasker, as well as a self starter who is able to work well with others and can adapt to changes quickly in a high pressure startup environment
• Very familiar with general application development
• C#/Java knowledge a plus
• Excellent technical communication, both written and verbal
• MS/BS in Computer Science or related background preferred
